Toddler Room 2-3 years
During their time in the toddler room, children are introduced to a more structured day, helping them to achieve independence, knowledge and confidence in their abilities. Our focus moves to developing a range of life, social and self help skills, to develop their own unique personalities.
Pre-school Room 3-5 years
In this area the children will work to planned termly topics to emphasise the early learning goal. Children’s knowledge is enhanced through purposeful play and children are introduced to a wide variety of learning opportunities.
Under Three’s
Seren Fach operates within the birth to three matters framework which recognises that all children have from birth, a need to develop, learning through interaction with people and exploration of the world around them.
The framework identifies that babies are social beings, they are competent learners from birth and learn more by doing rather than being told.
Over Three’s
From the toddler stage onwards we work within the foundation stage guidelines.
The children learn through both planned and child-led activities that cover the six early learning goals.
These are:-
- Creative development
- Mathematical development
- Physical development
- Knowledge and understanding of the world
- Communication, language and literacy
- Personal, social and emotional development
At this age children are constantly encountering new experiences, they deepen their understanding by playing, talking, observing and experimenting. At Seren Fach learning experiences are planned considering both children’s needs and achievements.
Our well planned play helps the children learn with enjoyment and challenge during the foundation stage.
